Hi, I’m Shana. This whole experience started for me in 2014 when I became a mummy to a beautiful little girl (who for the purposes of this blog I’ll refer to as, H).
You may have noticed that I haven’t included a picture of myself at this point, it’s intentional… Reason being I’m a really private person, not the type who’s constantly uploading selfie’s on social networking sites so I have to stay true to myself. More importantly, I didn’t create Mummy Brain for personal celebrity; I simply want to share information with others that has genuinely changed mine and my daughters lives for the better!
Why The Name?
If you’ve ever been pregnant or had ANY interaction with a pregnant lady or mother of young children then I’m sure you’re familiar with the terms Baby Brain and Mummy Brain (Mommy Brain to our American friends). I most definitely experienced both of these, which you could say was less than ideal since I ended up being pregnant through my entire final year at University – giving birth exactly 5 weeks after graduation!
The name however is two-fold. I wanted to create a blog where I could post what I consider to be the most important things on this mummy’s brain, in the hopes that some of you can relate and will find them useful. I’m currently on a natural, organic, chemical free journey. As I gain knowledge that benefits my life I want to be able to share it with you guys in real time. Please don’t hold it against me that everything isn’t in chronological order, as I said I’m on a journey and the destination is a happier, healthier life but the route is definitely uncharted for me.
What I Blog About:
I’ll be detailing my honest experience, advice, reviews and recommendations on:
- Pregnancy & birth
- Everything toddler (with how to’s) as I go through it
- Our healthy eating regime
- Chemical free living
- + any other lifestyle posts surrounding the joys of being a first time mum.
I’d love to hear from you too! So please do comment and share your stories. If you would like to personally get in touch with me then you can drop me an email on my contact page.
I hope you enjoy reading!
